Volunteer Commitment
It is essential for the ski club to have at least one volunteer per family for every event and race held or attended by the club. The sport of ski racing is a “many hands” sport which enables us to be the thriving club and community that we are. There are volunteer positions for both skier and non-skier. Anything you don’t know, we can teach you.
Some examples of race volunteer positions are listed below:
- Registration or Race Administration
- Race and Course Officials and Support Crew
- Timing
- Hospitality
- Kid Wranglers
- Setup including install netting
Fundraising Bond
In order to keep club fees reduced, each family is responsible for a $300 volunteer fundraising per athlete. A $300 fee will be added at registration time that will be part of the monthly payments and is fully refundable when fundraising commitment is completed.
There is an option to opt out or there are several ways to fulfill the fundraising commitment and are listed below:
- 10 hours in Mid-April Dreamhome Shifts (~286 hours available)
- Coach (Level 1 Coach; Fulltime)
- $500 Corporate Sponsorship
- NAST Board Member
- Committee Chair (Race, Fundraising, Dreamhome, etc.)
Club Raffles
There will be a cash raffle and a ski prize/gift card raffle. Raffle tickets in the amount of $300 per athlete will be charged as part of monthly payments and tickets will be given out on registration day. Any collected money is kept by the family.
