Nancy Greene Program (Recreational)

The Nancy Greene Ski League is a national program, inaugurated shortly after Nancy Greene Raine’s success at the 1968 Grenoble Olympic Winter Games. Since then, the program has been successful in introducing thousands of children to alpine skiing. Many of Canada’s top international skiers received their early training in Nancy Greene Ski League programs.

Alberta Alpine’s program for entry-level skiers four to ten years of age is the Banff Lodging Company Nancy Greene Ski League. The program introduces children to basic ski techniques and skills, basic safety rules, and teamwork. Enjoyment of the sport and the mountain environment is also emphasized. Ski races are available to Nancy Greene athletes and attendance is encouraged, but not mandatory.

All ski passes/lift tickets are additional to club package fees and are purchased directly with the ski hill.

Anything you don’t know, we can teach you.

Some examples of race volunteer positions are listed below:

  1. Registration or Race Administration
  2. Race and Course Officials and Support Crew

  4. Hospitality
  5. Kid Wranglers
  6. Setup including install netting
